Is there an “outlet” type of mall on Oahu?

Yes. Waikele Center and Waikele Premium Outlets is, I believe, the only outlet mall on Oahu. The mall has around 50 or so outlet stores ranging from name brands such as Armani Exchange and Banana Republic to local favorites such as Crazy Shirts and Blue Hawaii Surf.

Typical discounts range from 25% to 65% off usual retail prices.

Located in Waipahu, the drive from Waikiki to Waikele usually takes about 30 minutes or so, barring the usual traffic conditions.

Aside from driving, you can also get there by taking E Noa Tours’ “Tour #10: Waikele Center & Waikele Premium Outlets Trolley Tour.” You can choose between two return trips back to Waikiki, which basically makes your stay at the mall about half day or whole day, depending on which return time you take.

A more expensive option is taking a limousine tour to Waikele via All Occasion Transportation. For more information on this, visit All Occasion Transportation’s website.
