I’m interested in seeing some entertainment shows in Waikiki. Can you recommend a few?
Certainly. If you’re interested in seeing one of the best magic shows in town (and probably around the Pacific Rim), The Magic of Polynesia with John Hirokawa is a must-see. From their website:
Awe-inspiring, completely unique, and with a hint of romance, the Magic of Polynesia is a “must-see” stage show. Prepare for an evening of magical wonder that will simply mesmerize you.
Put together by master illusionist John Hirokawa, this “Ultimate Stage Spectacular” comes to you live on a daily basis from its showroom at the Waikiki Beachcomber Hotel, the area’s premier dinner theater. You’ll watch breathlessly as people and objects appear and disappear; and thrill as the illusionists perform impossible feats, and escape from inescapable traps!
The Society of Seven show at Outrigger Waikiki is another one worth taking a look.
Hawaii also has its own version of Elvis impersonation shows. Starring Jonathon von Brana as Elvis, the Blue Hawaii Show at the Waikiki Beachcomber Hotel showcases Elvis’ top hits as well as his songs featured in Movies shot in Hawaii.
Visitors should also consider taking a look at Cirque Hawaii, one of Waikiki’s newest shows. From their website:
This awe-inspiring and incredible show blends beauty, grace and strength in one fantastic compilation of aerial, dance and acrobatic artistry. Children delight in the fanciful characters and comedic antics while adults sit in amazement over the jaw-dropping aerial acrobatics and stunning choreography.
