I am a United States citizen and was wondering if I would need a passport or any special paperwork to visit Hawaii?
Being that Hawaii is the 50th U.S. State, you do not need a passport or any special paperwork to visit the islands. It’s basically like travelling from one State to another; the only difference is you’re crossing a big body of water.
You will, of course, need to carry some form of identification (drivers’ license, for example).
